Australia picks up the Women’s T20 2023 title yet again. Australia won the match by 19 runs. After this victory, Australia will have two hattricks T20 titles. They have been so consistent with their performance that it has made winning appear obvious. Australia is one of the well sort out teams in Cricket. In the Women’s T20, Australia is the best team, Australia won the title in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2018, 2020, and 2023.
The match took place in Cape Town. Cape Town is indeed a pitch suitable for batting, so the runs were expected to be high. Australia already set the chase target high, they scored 157 runs. The chase was difficult for South Africa to handle. South Africa was only able to score 137 runs in 20 overs. South Africa’s batting performance wasn’t quite up to the mark, Laura Wolvaardt managed to pull off 61 runs in 48 balls and Chloe Tryon scored 25 runs as well. Marizanne Kapp managed to score just 11 runs in 11 balls. While battling against a team like Australia, it is a mandate to perform extremely well to have some possibility of winning.
Australia Women’s team performed at their best as usual. The top scored in the match was Beth Mooney, she scored 74 runs in 53. Ashleigh Gardner managed to score 29 runs off 21 balls and Alyssa Healy scored 18 runs as well. By the end of 20 overs, the total score was 156 runs. The batting team indeed did a fantabulous job, 157 is a good target. The bowling team did the rest of the job, and by the end of 19 overs, South Africa required 27 runs off 6 balls. If only some other players in South Africa has scored some runs, there would have been a change in the final results.

Although the match result was as precise as we expected, still South Africa did put up a tough fight throughout the T20 series. They beat England in the semi-finals, England was a well-established team, and this shows the potential South African Women’s team hold. Australia is a team that has a record of winning 5 T20 titles back-to-back, it was quite an obvious fact that it will take a lot of effort for South Africa to succeed in the match. It seems that it was inevitable for Australian Women’s Cricket team to achieve its feat of two hattricks in T20 titles.
