Dhoni will always be remembered as the best finisher ever with his outstanding finishing in the 2011 ODI World Cup, where his last six leads to victory by ending the 28 years of wait to become ODI World Champions again.

He was always a cool captain with his generosity and kindness. No one can play the game with that much ease even though the team is under high pressure. He is also remembered for his attacking stroke during his fifteen years-long international careers.

The one who mastered the helicopter shot technique, the fastest man in running between the wickets, the powerful hitter of the ball, the widely praised wicket-keeper for the highest number of stumpings, and many more recognized him as the greatest of all time in Cricket. Even the opposition players underline that his behavior on the ground was calm and composed. He represented India in 350 ODIs and amazed the audience with a score of 10773 at an average of 50.58 including 10 hundred and 73 fifties.

The right-handed batsman Dhoni holds the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the territorial army in 2011 for his contribution to Indian cricket. He is considered the most consistent player of Team India for years in all three formats – as a wicket-keeper, captain, and a major middle-order batsman. That is why he is regarded as the giant in Indian cricket. As a batsman, Dhoni is India’s third-highest influenced player, after Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli.

Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket in 2020 and he is enjoying his retired life now. He was spotted watching the Tennis Tournaments in London last day and he is celebrating his birthday this time in the UK with his family and friends.

On the legend’s birthday, many former and current cricketers are extending their wishes through social media.

BCCI tweeted that “An idol & an inspiration, Here’s wishing @msdhoni – former Team India Captain & one of the finest to have ever graced the game – a very happy birthday.”

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli tweeted, “A leader like no other. Thanks for everything you have done for Indian cricket. You became more like an elder brother for me. Nothing but love and respect always. Happy Birthday skip @msdhoni”.

Former Indian Cricketer and a die-hard fan of Dhoni, Suresh Raina posted “Happy Birthday to my big brother.  Thank you for being my biggest supporter and mentor in every phase of life, may God bless you and your family with good health always. Much love to you Mahi Bhai. Wishing you a great year ahead! @msdhoni”
