MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings had to bow down to defending champions Gujarat Titans. The debut IPL match of this season was between two legendary teams, one is a four-time title winner and the other one is the champion IPL 2022. Both the teams had a heated competition in the first match itself. Gujarat is a team that was introduced into the IPL world only in 2022 and emerged victorious in its first season. GT and CSK have played against GT three times and the result was the same for all three matches.

Gujarat Titans did a fantabulous job on the crease. They were able to chase down the target in 19.2 overs itself. The Target of 179 runs was not a huge figure for Gujarat Giants. They were able to score them with ease. Shubman Gill scored an explosive 63 runs off 36 balls. He smashed 3 sixes and 6 boundaries. With the finishing touch of Rahul Tewatia and Wriddhiman Saha, the team could easily achieve their target. Unlike CSK, Gujarat Titans had a lot of players contributing to their final score.
Gujarat Titans are again repeating history. We can see the consistency in their performance this season as well. Gujarat Titans will go on to win this IPL season if they maintain this level of competence. Chennai Super Kings will soon hit back with a comeback if they manage to fix their batting lineup.
