Pakistan also gains rating points
A clean sweep over Zimbabwe helped India remain static on the 3rd position in the latest ICC ODI team rankings, released on Tuesday. With a 3-0 series win at Harare, India now has 111 rating points.
New Zealand continues to reign at the top of the ICC ODI table with124 rating points. With a 2-1 series triumph over West Indies, New Zealand retained the position. England is remaining 2nd with 119 rating points.

Pakistan was also rewarded for their recent series win against the Netherlands and they also retained the 4th position with 107 rating points. The Babar Azam-led side also had the same hard-fought victory (3-0) over the Netherlands in their Cricket World Cup Super League Series.
India’s next chance to make further changes to the ODI rankings is when they face South Africa for the three-match ODI series starting on October 6.
On the other hand, Pakistan will not play any 50-over matches until after the T20 World Cup scheduled this year in Australia.
With a failure against West Indies, New Zealand’s nine-point advantage in the rating was reduced to five now. If New Zealand wants to increase their lead, they should take over Australia in the 3-match ODI series next month. But if they face a loss against Australia, it will lead them to lose the top position to England.

On the other hand, Australia can overtake Pakistan if they play well in the home series against Zimbabwe and New Zealand.
