Indian Squad for the three-match T20I series against New Zealand

On Tuesday, the Indian line-up for the upcoming three-match T20I series against New Zealand was released. With Virat Kohli stepping down as Team India’s T20I captain, Rohit Sharma will head the side against New Zealand, with KL Rahul serving as vice-captain.

After spending more than six months in a bubble, many players who were part of the World Cup squad have been rested for the T20I series. Former captain Virat Kohli, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja have all been ruled out of the three T20I against New Zealand.

Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are among the 16-member team. These players have already appeared in the T20 World Cup. Deepak Chahar, Shreyas Iyer, and Axar Patel are on the tournament’s standby list.

India’s T20I squad: Rohit Sharma (Captain), KL Rahul (Vice-Captain), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Deepak Chahar, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Ishan Kishan (wicket-keeper), Venkatesh Iyer, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Avesh Khan, Harshal Patel, Mohammad Siraj.

Let’s hope for a fresh start for team India under the guidance of new coach Rahul Dravid for the three home matches against New Zealand, starting on November 17 in Jaipur.
