Chennaiyin’s chances of making it to the playoffs have been greatly diminished due to the loss. They must win all their remaining games and rely on favorable outcomes in other matches to have a chance of qualifying. Meanwhile, the Kerala Blasters only require three more points to secure a spot in the playoffs. Despite Chennaiyin taking an early lead, the Blasters managed to score goals before and after halftime to secure the win.
