Pakistan vs England – Performance in the Past Matches
With a six-wicket victory in the first T20 on Tuesday (September 20) in Karachi, England made a triumphant comeback to Pakistan after 17 years. After captain Moeen Ali won the toss in his native England and chose to play, the left-arm fast bowler Luke Wood recorded 3-24 to aid in limiting Pakistan to 158-7.
After more than three years, Alex Hales returned to England’s colors. He scored 53 runs off 40 balls to help the visitors reach 160-4 in 19.2 overs. Before the middle order crumbled against Wood in the final overs, Pakistan’s aggressive opening pair of Mohammad Rizwan (68) and captain Babar Azam (31) of 85 off 57 balls fell short of their expectations.
Then, Hales benefited from two dropped catches while still in his twenties before falling to fast bowler Haris Rauf just after reaching his half-century. In the PSL earlier this year, Harry Brooks represented Lahore, scoring an undefeated 42 off 25 balls to help his team win with four balls remaining.
