What are the possibilities of the RCB winning the IPL in 2023?

Virat Kohli and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are ready for the 16th edition of the IPL season after the mini-auction held on December 2022. RCB released only 5 players ahead of the auction and entered into the mini-auction with seven slots available to fill. Having 8.75 crores in their purse, RCB completed their full squad of 25 players in the team.

The costliest player brought by RCB in the auction was England batsman Will Jacks with an amount of 3.2 Cr. England’s left-arm seamer Reece Topley was the other one to whom RCB spend more than a crore in the auction (1.9 Cr). RCB also bought five uncapped Indian players to complete the squad.

Out of the 25 players in the squad, 17 are Indians and 8 are foreigners. 8 of these players are appearing for the league for the first time.

Faf du Plessis will continue to lead the side this year. Being the most popular team in the IPL, RCB will try to snatch their first IPL trophy this time. The tournament will kick-start on March 31st and RCB will play their first match against the five-time champions Mumbai Indians on April 2nd at Bengaluru.
