RCB – Paying Tribute to the Frontline Warriors
In a recent press conference, Royal Challengers Bangalore announced & displayed a new kit, a blue kit. The blue color is in tribute to all our frontline workers involved in the pandemic situations. It is in resemblance to the PPE kit worn by them. They will grace this jersey in their match against the Kolkata Knight Riders in the second leg of the Indian Premier League which is going to happen in the middle east.
The initial plan for using this kit was in May but the huge rise in the second wave of the pandemic caused the league to post pond to uncertainties. The management was keen to show their tribute from then on, which resulted in the use of this kit in the second leg of the tournament. They said in a conference that they were so concerned about what’s happening in our country as the result of this pandemic and the least they could do now is to show their tribute by using the jersey kit which resembles the color of the PPE kit worn by our frontline soldiers who are putting their everything to safeguard this situation and to overcome this widespread of the disease. Apart from this, they are offering huge financial help, but they are not interested in publicizing it.

Last year RCB was found donning a green jersey as they want to take an initiative on eco-friendliness. Now we are in a serious battle against this disease so the management decided to go with the new.
AB Devillers, Devdutt Padikkal, Navdeep Saini, Sachin Baby, were seen in the video where they launched the new blue jersey.
